Scion of Ikshvaku book 1 of the Ram Chandra Series which is beautifully depicted by Amish Tripathi. This book is an Indian fantasy book in which the writer of the book tells the story of Ramayan but with the modern eyes. The key characteristics of Scion of Ikshvaku are its strong women characters, conversational languages and debates on moral issues. The characters in the book are represents Ram, Sita, Bharat and Raavan as real people living real lives. Re-writing the Ramayan according to the modern era. There are mild changes in the characters like Sita has been shown as a strong women who raise her voice against wrong events.
Story of the book goes like the Ayodhya has weakened after the division. After the terrible war the damage had started getting deep. The king of Lanka Raavan didn’t imposed his defeat but he imposed his trade. Sapt Sindhu people were facing problems like poverty and corruption. Since the money had been sucked out of the economy.
