Kashi Ka Itihas is a book which deals with the history of “Kashi”. This is a place in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is commonly termed “Land of Lord Shiva” by the common people. However, now known as Varanasi. Varanasi (Kashi) has been the pilgrimage spot for ages, also referred to as Benaras and is the oldest city living.
“Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together”. On one hand if Kashi is considered to be the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati then it is believed that the Ganges river on which bank Varanasi is located is believed that it consist of the power to wash away all the sins of the mortals.
