Devdas is a Hindi novel written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhya which is a love story of a young man named Devdas and girl named Paro (Parvati). Devdas and Paro’ family are neighbours and they know each other from their childhood. But as Devdas grown up, he was sent to Calcutta by his Zamindar father. However, when devdas attain age of 19, he return back and Paro asked him to marry her.

But Devdas was not able to take the stand in front of family and Paro has to wed a widower who has children with his previous wife. He become helpless as he was unable to handle that Paro has married to someone else and try to convince her to elope with him, but Paro refused.
